ABCD was founded by Melodie Wilson Oldenburg on June 15, 1999 – and since that day, we’ve been a trusted source of free, personalized emotional support for anyone impacted by breast cancer.

Now, we’re marking 26 years of impact with the launch of a powerful new video that brings our mission to life through the voices of those who’ve lived it. You’ll hear from:

• Megan, who turned to ABCD after her diagnosis left her feeling lost and alone.
• Jaclyn, who became a Mentor to offer the support she once needed.
• Executive Director Ellen Friebert Schupper, who shares what makes ABCD’s customized matching so unique.

A version of the video will also be featured in a segment for “Empowered Hosted by Meg Ryan” that will air on over 170 participating Public Television stations throughout the U.S. for the next year. In addition, a :30 commercial with similar messaging has been airing on networks across the country. The exposure is estimated to reach millions of viewers, introducing a wider audience to the importance of emotional support for anyone facing breast cancer.
