What an incredible time on April 24! A Night Out for ABCD welcomed a sold-out crowd of 300+ ABCD supporters for an evening filled with connection and purpose. From the moment guests started to arrive, the energy was electric, a reminder of what’s possible when our community comes together. We’re proud to share that we surpassed our goal, raising more than $155,000 to support our free emotional support services.

At the heart of the night was a program that featured the powerful story of ABCD Mentor Beth Gramz and Participant Megan Adams, two young moms who were matched by ABCD based on their similar diagnosis.

Their story highlighted the life-changing impact of peer-to-peer support. Beth, who was with us Friday night and is pictured here on the right with WISN 12’s Joyce Garbaciak, first turned to ABCD for support and later became a Mentor. Beth has supported 48 people to date, including Megan.

We also honored Versiti with the 2026 Power of One-to-One Award for their incredible partnership over the last two years during Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Gretchen Jameson, EdD, a two-time breast cancer survivor and Versiti’s EVP and Chief Marketing Officer, accepted the award and gave heartfelt remarks connecting her personal cancer experience with the shared impact of ABCD’s and Versiti’s mission.

"To ABCD, thank you for your partnership, and for the extraordinary way you care for individuals and families when they need it most. I think it's safe to say, we are just getting started,” she shared. We were proud to have 30 of our volunteer Mentors in the room who have supported more than 400 people across the country. Our Mentors’ compassion and willingness to share their time and stories is what makes our free emotional support possible.

Capping off the evening was a dueling pianos performance that had the whole room singing and dancing to their favorite 80s hits. We appreciate everyone who donated to request a song and kept the energy going until the very last note. Also, a shoutout to M&Ms for donating the special ABCD-branded sweet treats that our guests took home.
