Versiti’s $10,000 Giving Challenge (Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio)

We have a very special and unique way to help ABCD and support others through the end of October.

In partnership with our friends at Versiti Blood Centers, anyone who donates blood at a Versiti donor center in Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, or Ohio through October 31 — and enters code “ABCD” when scheduling the appointment — will count toward a giving challenge where Versiti will contribute up to $10,000 to ABCD.

Not only is there a nationwide blood shortage, but there’s an important connection between donating blood and cancer: up to 90% of people with solid tumors will need blood at some point during treatment. People like ABCD Mentor Sherrie: “After receiving my first round of chemo, I became very ill. I had two blood transfusions, which was the turning point of my recovery. The blood transfusions saved my life.”
