She’ll teach you the basics of clinical trial participation, how to search for clinical trials based on your diagnosis, location, and treatment history using BreastCancerTrials.org, and what questions to ask your doctor about clinical trials to make informed decisions about participation.

About Our LEAP Speaker: Sabrina Mayhew, PhD, RN, CN-BN, is an experienced nurse specializing in oncology, clinical trials, and patient navigation. She currently serves as the Clinical Trial Nurse Navigator and Manager of Access and Diversity at BreastCancerTrials.org, a program of Quantum Leap Healthcare Collaborative. Her journey into breast cancer advocacy and research began in November 2011 after her own breast cancer diagnosis. This personal experience deepened her commitment to supporting others, leading to her involvement in multiple breast cancer advocacy organizations. Throughout her career, Sabrina has held various nursing roles in radiation oncology, research, emergency medicine, and as a program manager for a breast cancer survivorship and support program. She furthered her expertise by earning a doctorate in Nursing, where her research focused on breast cancer survivorship, patient advocacy, and health disparities.
