The Power of One-to-One Award Recipient:
Elizabeth “Betsy” Brenner
This year, we will honor Elizabeth “Betsy” Brenner for her significant help elevating ABCD’s mission and services. As a past board president of ABCD and retired publisher of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Betsy is a pillar in our community.
Her reach goes beyond ABCD with ties to the community through Board affiliations for Planned Parenthood, Milwaukee Film, Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee, Medical College of Wisconsin, Greater Milwaukee Committee, and being an Honorary Chair for the Host Committee of the 2020 Democratic National Convention.

Carol Cameron
A breast cancer survivor herself, Carol shares her culture and forges ahead helping to bridge the gap between academia and the American Indian Community. Her involvement in Wisconsin’s key breast cancer organizations is impressive. She has built strong working relationships with the Wisconsin Pink Shawl Initiative and – the Wisconsin Well Woman Program, the American Cancer Society, Susan G. Komen, United Voices, the Wisconsin Breast Cancer Task Force, the Wisconsin Comprehensive Cancer Control Program, the Wisconsin Cancer Council, Gerald L. Ignace Indian Health Center and, of course, ABCD: After Breast Cancer Diagnosis.
